Who we are

wibbu.com is run by Gekik, LLC, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, USA. We decide how your data is used, which makes us its controller under data protection law. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

Your email address, when you join the waitlist or subscribe to the blog. We store it with:

  • the date and time you signed up
  • which form you used: the home page, the end of a blog post, or the blog

We don't ask for your name or anything else.

Your IP address, in memory only. To stop bots from flooding the form, we count how often each IP address tried to sign up in the last 10 minutes. The count is never written to disk or to logs, and it's cleared whenever the site restarts.

What we don't collect

  • No cookies. wibbu.com doesn't set any. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it has to check that you're not a bot.
  • No analytics or tracking. No visitor statistics, ad pixels or social media trackers.
  • No outside requests. Fonts and images load from wibbu.com itself.

How we use it

We use your email for one thing: to tell you when Wibbu is ready. If you subscribed on the blog, we'll also send you new posts. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or use it to train AI.

Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). The IP count rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam (Article 6(1)(f)).

Where it's stored

Your email is kept in a database on our own server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Ashburn, Virginia, USA. Only we can see the list.

Every visit to wibbu.com, including the form, passes through Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the site and blocks attacks. To do that, Cloudflare sees your IP address, but it doesn't keep the waitlist.

If you're in the EU or UK, this means your email is transferred to the United States. We rely on our providers' data processing agreements for that transfer.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If we close the waitlist without launching, we'll delete the whole list. A deleted address can stay in server backups for a short time, until those backups are replaced.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email us from the address you signed up with, and we'll reply within a month. Every email we send will include a link to unsubscribe.

If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Blog posts have buttons to share a post (X, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp) or to ask an AI assistant about it (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Le Chat). They open that service with the post's address filled in, and its own privacy policy applies from there.

Changes

When the Wibbu app launches, it will handle more data, such as the customer messages you connect to it. We'll publish a policy for the app before then. Any change to this page updates the date at the top.
